Design Engineer

I'm a frontend engineer who lives in the seam between how things look and how they're built. Here's my lab where I try things out.

A bit about me

Creativity and making things has always been a part of who I am, long before I ever wrote a line of code. I grew up drawing, building things out of wood and growing plants with my grandmother. I think that background quietly shapes everything I do.

I'm endlessly curious about linguistics, history, cultures, the way people see the world differently depending on where they've stood in it, the small details that most overlook. I believe the best ideas come from paying close attention to the world and I try to do that wherever I am.

I've been making things for the web for several years now. Long enough to know it never gets boring, short enough to still be surprised by it.

I think good work isn't about making things look nice. It's about making things work for real people, with real needs. That means listening before designing, questioning before building, simplifying what's complicated, and making the boring interesting and the ordinary special.

At the end of the day, I hope the work I create does more than function or look nice. I hope it carries a bit of the curiosity, care, and attention I try to bring to everything and makes someone’s day a little easier, a little more thoughtful, and a little more human, even in ways they might not notice at first.
